A Musical Interlude Courtesy of The Piano Guys

It’s no secret I enjoy the music of The Piano Guys. I have mentioned them here a time or two before, and recently downloaded a good chunk of their music from iTunes. (I love it, but my husband hasn’t said too much about it . . . yet.) I love the joy they bring to what they do, and the creative ways they mix the classical with the contemporary.

In the below video, The Piano Guys combined elements from The Bourne Identity soundtrack with a concerto Antonio Vivaldi wrote for the cello. The resulting piece is full of movement, and has a real beauty to it as well. It’s also, as I have found, a great song to have on my running playlist. I hope you enjoy it as well!

  1. You’re welcome! It’s fun to find new music, especially when it’s something we may not come across all on our own. My older sister’s husband has introduced me to a fair share of “new for me” stuff, too.

    • Thanks for the link, Stephen! What a clever use of the piano. :) It reminds me of the group that did a cover of Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know” — all five people played one guitar.
