A Coffee and ... Friday
It has been “A Week”.
- It started off well enough. We went to church on Sunday, and followed it up with a BBQ and a viewing of X-Men: Days of Future Past.
- Monday kept us busy with work while the evening saw Jeff trying out a new board game with some buddies while I finally checked out the TV series Veronica Mars on Netflix.
- Tuesday … Tuesday things went a bit downhill. The workday was long and involved my getting a minor chewing-out where blame wasn’t being assigned (but kind of was). Then it was off to two church-related meetings before I headed home to write a blog post for Wednesday that may never see the light of day, as it were.
But oh, Thursday! Praise God for Thursday! It was this Thursday (yesterday!) we learned Jeff’s doctor is, quote, “99.9%” sure his surgery is basically the endpoint for things. (Cue the release of the breaths we have been holding for the past three weeks.) Jeff does have a follow-up appointment in a month, however, where the results of a study of the CT scan by a specialist (a standard procedure) and additional blood work will be gone over. Even with that bit of uncertainty on the horizon, we went out for a lovely supper last night and we are, well, thankful to be seeing answers to prayer.
I had a few ideas bopping around my brain for today’s post, but have decided I’m going to leave it at what I have put together above this. It really has been “A Week”, and I’m ready to enjoy some “less stress” time with my hubby.
Happy Friday, all! (We’re certainly going to enjoy it!)
