A Coffee and Some More Fun Finds Friday
- 1. Buddha Bowls: No, no – I’m not converting to Buddhism! But Jeff and I are enjoying these wonderful bowls we bought locally (and also available on Amazon.com) which are easy-peasey to cradle in one hand. It’s a perfect way to enjoy a bowl of something warm and delicious while warming up your hands on a chilly day.
- 2. Spotify: This online music streaming service had been promised to those of us in the Great White North since 2009 and it’s here at last! I’ve been making do with (and for the most part enjoying) Songza up until now, and while that service is still a good way to discover some new tunes, Spotify has the added bonus of allowing you to listen to specific artists. It’s a great way to get a proper listen to a new album or song before shelling out the moola to make it your very own.
- 3. Kings Kaleidoscope: Thanks to a recent playlist courtesy of Relevant Magazine and Spotify I have been becoming acquainted with the musical stylings of this indie rock worship band with roots at Mars Hill Church Ballard. All the goings-on at Mars Hill aside, this is music worth checking out. You know, if you like indie rock worship music.
- 4. The newest Simon’s Cat video: Own a cat? Then you have to watch Simon’s Cat on YouTube. Or check out the books. This video is an excellent starting point. Because I’ve been the person throwing things at the door so my cat will quit trying to scratch his way through from the other side of it.
Happy Friday! I hope you’ve had some fun finds of your own this week!
