In less than a week’s time, Jeff and I will be on vacation for two weeks, and we are both looking forward to the break while being grateful we have the jobs that we each do. As such, I won’t be posting here next week as there simply won’t be time, but I plan to be back the week after with a new post.

I was looking over a few old posts pertaining to the topic of friends and friendships, and while there have been (and will be, I’m sure) bumps and bruises, I’m finding more peace and joy in realizing while I may not have a lot of friends, I do have some good, even great friends. I hope you know the kind – where you can laugh and be silly, have the harder conversations with the necessary grace (and mercy) to get past hurt feelings and wounded pride, and simply be there for each other even when (especially when) life gets busy and visits seem few and far between.

Friends are truly a gift, and I am thankful for the ones I have.

I’m trying to figure out how to make bullet journaling work for me. I don’t want to ditch my day timer, or my journal, or the notebook I track a few writing-related things in. But I do need something to help me stay on/get on track with a few things without adding another notebook or app. If you have any suggestions, please send them my way!

Ice cream. Coffee. An episode of either Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee or Ugly Delicious. Better boundaries around my online time. These are things helping me rest in the evenings, to clear the clutter and get a better sleep at night. What things are helping you rest at day’s end?
