Canadian Inventions (You're Welcome, Eh?)
Today is a good day to talk about Canadian things because it’s Canada Day! But rather than inundate you with why Canada is awesome, I thought I would share some things you can be thankful Canadian invented. Or maybe you’re not thankful – I can’t account for everyone’s tastes and preferences.
But I have sunny weather to enjoy (it does happen, you hosers), so let’s get to it.
Thanks to Canadians, you have consumed:
- Peanut butter
- Instant mashed potatoes
- Pablum (Sorry, babies –but rickets would be a whole lot worse.)
- Nanaimo bars
- Butter tarts (My father-in-law’s wife makes the best ones north of the 49th parallel.)
- Ginger beef (At least one version of it that is.)
