Hey! I’m back! And I’ve been working on keeping my creative tank, as it were, filled up as I let it dip too low this past little while. Rather than bemoan that mistake (for it fixes nothing), here are some things helping to fill it up again:
“Come Out of Hiding” by Steffany Gretzinger: This lovely song … oh, my heart needs the reminders it contains more on some days than others. You may give it a listen here,
Comedian in Cars Getting Coffee: I’ve enjoyed Jerry Seinfeld’s comedy for some time now, and I was rather tickled with his Web series made its way over to Netflix recently. Now I haven’t watched every episode – part of the fun is the picking-and-choosing aspect of its format – but the episode with Will Ferrell is one of my favourites. You can watch a (at time of writing) Ferrell-less trailer for the program here.
“The Youth in Asia” by David Sedaris: When you can, set aside 16 minutes and listen to David Sedaris share a story of his family and the cats, dogs, and other animals they knew and loved and lost. I was listening to it while driving, and people must have wondered why I was laughing So. Much. Seriously – part of the hilarity is David’s delivery, so give it a listen if you enjoy some slightly off-kilter humour.
And may you keep your creative tank full as well. Feel free to share what keeps you creating and laughing!
