Sometimes (not all the time – thankfully)I look at the good things you are doing and at what I’m not doing. OR I look at the good things I am doing and at what you’re not doing.
AND I feel better or I feel worse depending on where I/you fall in regards to the lines I have drawn.
But constant competitions can be lonely “me vs you” or “you vs me”. When the bettering of me, by me, for me is, well, better. For you. For me. Because then I’m more likely to see what you are doing, and use it as a guiding light to work on being a Better Me rather than Better Than You.
A genuine camaraderie trumps an envy-fuelled competition any day.
