Pushing Through

Microwave Timerphoto © 2009 Pascal | more info (via: Wylio)I'm having another one of those days where I would so enjoy not having an office job to be at in the next hour. It's not that I'm not thankful for my job -- I am. God has provided much for both my husband and I through that job, and I hope I add good things to the place I work at. No, today is simply one of those days were it took me awhile to find my groove, when I lollygagged instead of hustling, and now I must -- with some reluctance -- drop what I'm currently working on so I can get to my day job.  And I'm feeling a bit out of sorts as a result.

But none of this surprises God.  He knew I'd be here, at this time and place, feeling this way.  Provision has been made, even as to me the timer is on the cusp of dinging "It's too late!  Time's up!"  So with that thought in mind, I press on to lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus laid hold of me (Philippians 3:12).
