Struggling to Create
I had a post in progress this morning wherein I was bemoaning the work involved in, well, getting today’s post together. And I just scrapped the whole kit and caboodle. Okay, it was only 200 words or so, but it did have some pretty epic whining in it. (Though I did manage to salvage a handy link to my Facebook page. You should give it a “like” if you haven’t already.)
Frustratingly enough, this has not sparked any other ideas for a post. It seems lately I’ve spent most of my time linking to other sites and the words/creative works of other people, and while that’s not a bad thing per se it is making me wonder why my own creative well is running dry.
Am I watching too much TV? Am I not reading the right kinds of books or blogs or articles? Do I need to get some new songs into my iTunes library to help spark something? Is this “struggling to create” merely a way to avoid doing other things?
I don’t have the answers, to be honest. So I’m going to step away from the keyboard and hopefully have something of substance to share here on Friday.
:-P <<Seriously, this dude looks way too happy.
