A Coffee and a New Year Friday

A Coffee and a New Year Friday

Hot Coffee on a rainy day from Flickr via Wylio Normally at this point in the calendar year, I have a number of goals laid out. Things I’d like to do in regards to work, relationships, around the house, and the like. But here I sit (just after 7:30 p.m. on Jan.1st) with nothing more than a few ideas, and most of them are basically things I didn’t get done last year.

After the manner in which 2014 drew to a close, I find myself hesitant to make plans because I would make all kinds in regards to what to do at work or at home or the like on any particular day only to see things veer off course in the exact opposite direction. Yet I read time and again – and I do know it to be true – that a goal, a destination is needed to move toward or else one is rather inclined to do not to much in terms of making changes and fostering growth in one’s life. So while I do have some Big Picture things in mind, I’m honestly not sure right now how to map things out in terms of the ‘day to day’. Anything I think will happen will likely not happen or be pushed down the priority list. Sometimes that is a necessary and/or a good thing. But other times it is as frustrating as all get-out.

Maybe I need to learn more patience in the “all get-out” moments. Maybe I need more coffee (or maybe less).

But while I’m getting all that sorted out, I hope you have a most excellent Friday. I’ll catch you here with (hopefully) a bit more of a plan next week. (A gal can dream and hope, right?)
