A Coffee and Some Fun Things Friday
It’s December (in case you hadn’t noticed), and I find myself humming a familiar refrain: “I need to get the Christmas shopping done!” One year I will be done by the time December rolls around … it will be a wonderful and delightful feeling, so I’m told.
Anyhow, I was flipping through Flipboard on my iPad last night, and I came across some fun holiday-themed links you will hopefully enjoy as the holidays approach:
- Many of us have favourite holiday movies – mine are the animated How the Grinch Stole Christmas (I love Max the dog) and A Charlie Brown Christmas (even though most of Charlie’s friends are the worst, y’all). But as I discovered via an article from the Mental Floss Web site, reviews were mixed on some now-classic holiday movies upon their initial release.
- Speaking of classic holiday films, I plan to rectify the fact I have yet to watch Elf in its entirety. I’ll certainly be keeping in mind some of the “behind the scenes” facts from the movie courtesy of another online article from Mental Floss.
- Ah, snow. I’ve found myself less ready for it than in previous years. But considering where I live, I can either complain bitterly about it for the next six months or try to find something to enjoy about it. These pictures of animals out in the snow for the first time courtesy of the Bored Panda Web site certainly help.
Happy Friday, all! And, as always, thank you for reading!
