A Coffee and Some Smiles Friday

A Coffee and Some Smiles Friday

Normally I don’t promote my own posts on my blog, but I do hope you’ll take a moment to check out Monday’s post, if only because it took 1/3 of the time I spent on it getting the spacing right using HTML code. HTML code and I have an uneasy alliance. About the only thing I can consistently remember is <em> with </em> will bold text and <i> with </i> will produce italics. The rest seems to be deleted from my memory banks faster than Sherlock Holmes deletes knowledge of the solar system. Something that brought a smile to my face, however, was learning Switchfoot (one of my favourte bands) has a new album out: Fading West. Two tracks which stand out for me after a few listens are Love Alone is Worth the Fight (because it is worth it) and Back to the Beginning Again (because I often find myself needing to go back there).

My gray hairs also made me grin a few times this week. As my hairdresser has cheerily reminded me for several years, my natural hair colour hides the gray really well so I’m not sure why seeing it makes me smile. But it does. I’m sure I’ll get over it sooner or later. ;-)

Getting up early for a cup of coffee and some reading before work has been a good thing for me this week. Particularly when I have a fun mug to in which to pour my morning cup of joe. It also helps me refrain from doing this when the phones in the office get silly-busy:

Then there are my sisters’ kids, who have brought me many smiles over the years. Jeff and I don’t have children of our own, but I am blessed to be an auntie. (I have no links to provide you where these fine folks are concerned, however, because that would be weird.)

I hope you’ve had some smile-worthy moments this week. Happy Friday!
