A Coffee and Some Venting Friday
It’s one of those days where I can’t seem to settle on a particular idea for a post, and as it has been awhile since I’ve done a random list of a post … Well, here are some things I’ve been thinking about lately:
#1. Sometimes I want to yell at the world in general, “You’re not the boss of me!” before camping out on my couch with coffee, warm chocolate chip cookies, and a book.
#2. I wish my cat would drink water from his bowl in the mornings, and not make multiple demands for me to turn on the bathroom sink tap. It seems worse when I’m trying to work in my office down the hall.
#3. If I left the tap on for an indeterminate period so #2 was not an issue, he would probably drink once and be done. (Because he’s a cat.)
#4. There are times when it seems nigh impossible to know whether or not something you’d like to do is in God’s will or not. Maybe you’re so wrapped up in your plans you can’t see His – the saying about not seeing the forest for the trees comes to mind. It’s hard sometimes to sit back and wait, especially when it’s something you’ve wrestled with for some time.
#5. I spent the better part of half to three-quarters of an hour using washi tape to cover up the scuffed-up keyboard tray on my desk here at home last night. It’s not a perfect job, but I like it.
#6. I would like to get a new mousepad now as the TV test pattern-themed one on a black-and-white polka dot background does not, amazingly, work.
#7. In a moment of I don’t know what, I signed up for my 2nd Moonlight Run. I have not been running as regularly in comparison to what I was doing before the one I entered last year, and I’m concerned I’m not even going to match last year’s time. But I want the sweatshirt, darn it. And to maybe (hopefully) not despise the middle as much as I did last year.
#8. I haven’t had any coffee yet, so this is as good an endpoint as any.
Have a happy Friday, all. Thanks for listening.
