Closing Out 2013

Closing Out 2013

It’s sort of amazing to think another year is almost behind us. And it’s a bit hard to believe I have another year of blogging under my belt. I mean, the proof is right here that I’ve plugged away at it more consistently than not, but perhaps it has to do with the last month of assessing where things are at and wondering where things should go that is leaving me at least a tiny bit gobsmacked to have all these posts behind me. All that to say, I suppose, I’m not 100% sure yet how things are going to look here going into 2014. Things will be happening, however, so I hope you stay tuned!

And in the vein of “where we’ve been”, here are the top five posts on This Time Around from 2013 as determined by Google Analytics:

1. A Coffee and a Song of Note – I didn’t come up with much of my own in this post, but sometimes sharing something which speaks to you will speak to other people as well. And I still love the song.

2. In a Few Words – The shortness and simplicity of this post still touches something in my heart. It was good to be reminded of a couple of things, too, as I head into a new year.

3. A Pointless Debate and a Reading List – The debate alluded to in this post is still pretty much pointless, and I didn’t take as big of a bite out of my reading list as I had hoped to. On the plus side, I have been reminded of a couple of books I do want to get through sooner rather than later.

4. The Story Behind My Tattoo/A Permanent Reminder – I’m counting these posts as one due to them being parts 2 and 1 respectively of my tattoo adventure back in February. And for the record, I’m still very pleased with my ink. :-)

5. I Bury Dreams – It would be pretty swell to say since writing this post I have seized every day and made the most of every opportunity. But I haven’t. I’m not quitting, however, and that is progress in its own right.

And now, thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who has read and reads this blog. I really appreciate you taking the time to read my ramblings (at least that’s how these posts can feel – LOL!).

Happy (almost) New Year, and all the best to you and yours in 2014!
