A Coffee and a Different Perspective Friday

Many songwriters have tried to capture what the birth of Jesus would have been like from the points of view of different people. We have heard songs about this event from the perspective of His mother, a little drummer boy*, and a man named Simeon to name a few. But the perspective of Joseph – the man who was Mary’s husband – went largely untouched. That is, until MercyMe took on the project as a part of their 2005 CD The Christmas Sessions. Here are their imaginings on what the event looked like from the viewpoint of this carpenter:
